Back in the late 1870's, an ancestor by the name of David Jillson developed a pretty substantial Genealogy book and had it published. Click on these words to see the Preface to that book. It has become the basis for many of our family WebSites and documentation.
The task now, it to find all of the missing years and people from 1870 up to present day, twenty-first Century. If you are one of the Jillsons, of Gillsons; and I have met some that spell our name with only 1 'L' in the name, please drop us a note via Email and let us know as much as you can - from you - to your parents and then to their parents. If you can get the information that goes back before that critical date - 1870 - we can probably put your information into the correct branch of our Family Tree.
My own family Tree, built with the application Family Tree Maker - the one with all those great 'shaking' green leaves, and have just surpassed the 5200 people level. At the current rate of entering 50 to 100 new names in the program, it will continue to grow exponentially for a long time.
I just added to new births, too, within the past 30 days; a nephew on my wife's side of the family, and a nephew on my side; my brothers daughter's third child. Welcome Blake Hunter Jillson - April 7, 2011.
Please send me your information - or, better yet.... send me your story. We are trying so hard sometimes to just get the information for birth dates and the statistic that we miss the story. I am sure that the information here should let people know 'how' we lived, and not just 'that' we lived. What did we do to make our place in history? What have you done today?
